Catnip Overdose

While I was taking care of Ralph's cats, I was shocked one day to find all over the kitchen floor what looked like little bits of dried up grass. There was a chewed up plastic bag on the floor as well with just a little of the grassy stuff in it. An array of thoughts crossed my mind as to what the stuff really was. Yet it still had to be cleaned and I got the broom and I swept it up and disposed of it. The cats were nowhere to be seen while I was cleaning the mess they had made.

I didn't think any more of the mess until Ralph had asked me if I gave the cats a whole bag of catnip while he was away. I told Ralph that I didn't know what catnip was. He explained that it was a dried up plant for the cats and he only gave it to them once in a while because they go too crazy on the stuff.

I started to laugh so hard that tears were streaming from my eyes. Ralph was quite shocked when I told him of the mess the cats had made. We were both in agony laughing when we realized that the cats had been in the cupboard all on their own and had overdosed themselves on the not so hidden catnip. What a vision in our minds that was.

Needless to say Ralph did not give the cats any catnip for quite some time after their overdose. Ralph also found a better hiding spot as well for any future catnip brought into the home.
