We welcome submissions of short fiction, poetry, essay, and memoir for our online publication.
Please read the following guidelines carefully:
1. Experimental, analytic, journalistic, lyric, prosaic. We'll consider anything as long as it's not libelous, obscene, or otherwise unprintable. If you're not sure, please do not send it.
2. Submit one story or three poems. We recommend that your submission not exceed 2,500 words to keep screen scrolling to a minimum. If your submission is QUITE long and QUITE wonderful, we might consider publishing it in segments.
3. We accept previously published works, but please include with your submission where and when it was published.
4. You may submit your work online as a text file. Simply paste your submission as plain text into the body of an e-mail, type "e-zine submission" in the subject line, and send to mwg.adhoc@gmail.com.
Due to concerns regarding computer viruses, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ATTACHMENTS TO E-MAILS (unless you receive pre-approval to do so from the Editors).
Online submissions are preferred, but you may also submit your work by postal mail to:
Ad Hoc Monadnock Online
Monadnock Writers' Group
P.O. Box 3071
Peterborough, NH 03458
5. Be sure to include the title of your work and a two- or three-line biography written in the third person.
6. We accept submissions on a rolling basis. We will inform authors of the status of their submissions in eight to twelve weeks.
7. Proof your work thoroughly. Typographical and grammatical errors may disqualify your submission.
8. We ask for non-exclusive electronic rights for a period of three months. Authors retain the copyright of their own work. After the three-month period, we will retain the work in an on-line archive until such time as the author asks us to remove it. At some future time, we may ask the author for permission to include the work in a CD anthology.
